About Kristin
Needlework has been a passion for me for as long as I can remember.
I grew up surrounded by women who sewed, knitted, and crotcheted. As a baby I was dressed in clothing that came off the needles of my mother, grandmothers, and great grandmothers. Even my father has the distinction of sewing a jumper for me! It wasn't long before I was trying to copy my mother, and create something beautiful and useful out of a simple piece of fabric. By the time I was allowed to use the sewing machine, I was entranced.
Through the years, my skills increased as I learned from different teachers who came into my life. I tried out whatever took my fancy. I also worked for six years under a talented window treatment designer. I continue to take classes, increasing my skills and trying out new techniques.
By far, the most enjoyable part of creating is sharing. I love giving a gift, knowing I have created joy for someone. It makes me happy. It makes them happy. And the world always needs more happiness.
